Can they use RDO-198 with additional cap/resistor?
I read somewhere that any RDO-194 crossover can be tweaked to accept RDO-198.

    Klipsch RB81, KG3.5, B&W DM602.5, Polk.
Subwoofers: Klipsch RW10, Triad ProSub Bronze.

Yes, each tweeter requires a different crossover mod/value; what you really need to do is figure out WHICH tweeter you want (there are threads/opinions on this).
    Yamaha RX-A2050 AVR (5.0.2); LG OLED77C2 4K TV
    (4) Polk Monitor 10B's w/SoniCaps, Mills, and RDO-194 tweets (R/L F/R)
    (2) Polk RC80i (Top Middle)
    Polk CS300 center channel
Analog: B&O TX2 Turntable, Nakamichi Cassette Deck 1
Digital: Pioneer CLD-99 Elite LD, Panasonic DMP-UB900 UHD Blu-Ray
Bedroom: Arylic Up2Stream AMPv3 driving Polk Monitor 4's w/peerless tweets

Easy now. I've never heard of the Monitor series getting a TL upgrade. Let's get some experts to chime in on this one.
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

If you check the schematics posted here: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?38755-POLK-AUDIO-Speaker-Wiring-Schematics-amp-More-ALL-MODELS-except-SDA
You'll see the M 10s Rev 2 which had the SL2500, and the M 10 SL3000 Mod. Both would be the "TL" equivalent.

My SDA SRS 2's have the original SL2000 tweeters. I'm going to leave them original for now to see how they sound. I have read where some listeners actually prefer the sound of them.

Yeah, because they have lost their hearing at those frequencies.

I'm sure I fit into that category F1, at 58 years old and probably 48 of those years listening at too loud volumes and other occupational hazards, I'm sure I have lost hearing at both ends of the spectrum. Unless you are a unique, I'm sure most of you realize you have also lost a good deal of your range. I'm still going to give the SL2000's a try, and evaluate for an upgrade.

I'm close enough to your age to appreciate what you're saying and I'm sure I've lost something, but it seems to be slight. The SL2000 still makes my ears bleed, so to speak.

Off the top of my head I know of only one person that prefers the SL2000 over the RD0194-1 and he's a whack job who also adds a 2.2uF cap in series, which completely alters the frequency response. Someone did a plot on that which showed huge drop outs.

The quote? I don't remember where it came from.

Well I will be 58 in March and because of my years in the machine shop and trying to blow speakers out when I was younger has taken a toll. Maybe I need my hearing TL'ed

One thing to remember is that the sound at 10KHZ+ is highly directional.
I have a cd I made of test tones going from 1KHZ to 14KHZ. I can hear up to about 10 no matter where I am in the room. 12KHZ I can hear ONLY if the volume is turned way up, or I am standing directly in front of the drivers. 13 comes across more as a "Did I hear something or what?"

Above that, I guess I'm not sheperd enough...

And I also turned 58 this year...
