J,
You know what I think.

A couple forum members have said they like the RS Fusion interconnects very much. I personally would not buy them.
Buy them, and check them out for yourself, they are inexpensive.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -

RS just isn't my thing, purely personal and trivial. I am very happy with the choices in cables I have decided on, MIT, Audioquest and Signal Cable. There are no plans to change these cables.
I had to make a decision, this hobby gets to be really insane sometimes.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -

Actually that would be a much better word to use.... I agree completely.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
I have some RS interconnects that I am pretty impressed with. I've got better and I've got worse. IMHO they are great for their price.
I wouldn't put Perellies on a Yugo, just like I wouldn't put Uniroyals on a Jaguar.Make it Funky! -
The real deal when it comes to wire........
All wire is good to a degree, when you properly mate it with the correct level of equipment.
Some wire is better then others.Mating again is key here. You can take the same wire or 3 different pairs and 3 different systems and get different results every time. This my friends is an art form.Finding the correct wire for your system isn't easy.It takes time to find and sample. This is only meaningfull if you want your system to sound it's best or better put best to you.
Companies I believe in are Monster,Kimber Kable,Transparent,Nordost.
Monster cable is in my opnion the best bang for the buck.At there price points you really get a high quality good sounding cable. There cables last and last and have the best warranty in the bussiness. They also use high quality materials.
Kimber Kable is a high end wire company that is designed and owned by a Electrical Engineer. You would think all wire companies are that way but Kimber is something special.
Transparent is flat out the highest end cable on the market. Many are close but Transparent is at the top of the mountian and for all good reasons. There cables are Incredible but your going to pay for them.
So now the question is what level is your system.Good...Monstercable..Better..Kimber Kable..or take it the **** out and Transparent is your game....
Small hint....Transparent and Kimnber Kable are interchangable up to a certain level.Kimber Kable can hang in there with Transparent on the lower levels.Once you go extreme it's all over for Kimber..
Just remember that each company has a certain SOUND if you will or the ability to transmit certain tones better then others. The ultimate goal here is to have a pure conductor.Nothing gained or losed.
So do all wires sound the same???Not in this lifetime they don't.
Another small tip I'll leave here when thinking about upgrading or just flat out buying wire.....think about 20% of the total system cost should be spent on wire. This will actually place you into the class that your system should be in.Alot of companies you can write them your system and they will provide a list of all the nessary cables that will work in harmony with your system...
Or simply see Mantis....alldayDan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
I have the $80 RS Fusion Digital Optic and I have no complaints.

I will continue to play the delvils advocate on wire... but I'm almost exclusively audioquest right now
Red colors changed on my hdtv and the bb dac in my denon is all i listen too over the silver cables. ~30% of the cost in electronics is my cable expense.

PN, of course they're good, but there's no reason for you to pay that much. Excellent cables at more reasonable prices are available here and elsewhere, such as Cables America.
