My Subwoofer PSW is not switching on

Hello,
The trouble with my subwoofer, PSW 125, started a few days back. I heard some small rumbling noises emanating from the sub woofer even when the Denon AVR was not switched on. The sub woofer was directly powered from the wall socket. Yesterday I found that the sub woofer was not switching on. I was also told by by my daugher that a miniature circuit breaker in the Main House Power panel had tripped and had to be switched back on. What would be the probable reasons be for the PSW 125 failure to switch on ?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Arun P.K.,
Welcome to Polk's forum. It is possible the subwoofer's AC fuse has blown and would need to be checked. Is the LED illuminated on the amp plate?
Regards, Ken -
Thanks for the reply. The LEDs are also not switching on.

Hello,
Checking the AC fuse would be a good idea. There are two different fuse locations for Polk's subwoofers, if the AC power cord is removable the fuse holder will be part of the receptacle itself. To check this style fuse remove the AC power cord and look at the socket and see if there is a small "door" that is part of the socket. If so use a small screwdriver to open this door and the fuse will be there.
If you don't see this or if the AC power cord is not removable then remove the AC power cord from the wall outlet and take out the screws that go around the circumference of the input plate. Once this is done use a putty knife to carefully loosen up the input plate from the enclosure so the complete amplifier assembly comes out away from the enclosure. The fuse will be located near where the AC power cord goes through the metal input plate.
Hopefully all you will need to do is replace the fuse with the exact same type of fuse and you will be back enjoying your sub.

Thanks for the trouble shooting tips. I will do what is recommended and get back to you with the results. What could be the probable reasons for the following
1. Rumbling noises from the Sub woofer when the Denon AVR was switched off.
2. Los bass output and humming noise from the sub woofer even after repeated speaker calibration was done using the AVR
