Tsi300 trouble

I've had a set of tsi300 since April, last night I was listening to music for about 5 hours when I started hearing a crackling sound. After inspecting the speaker, the dome was cracked and caved in. I tried to use a piece of tape to pull out the speaker and see how badly the speaker was cracked. The below image is the speaker after pulling out the dome. Do I need to replace ship the whole unit back to replace this part? I ask because I'm located in Fairbanks and shipping can be quite pricey so any thing that can be fixed at home is always a plus. Is this a warranty issue or a part I need to replace out of pocket?

    Welcome to Club Polk!

Just call up Polk Customer Service and ask them to send you a replacement woofer if you're still under warranty. No problem! Those speakers are pretty much drop in and play. There are connectors you need to simply remove and attach to the new speaker. Not sure if they'll even ask you to send the old one to them?

Not sure what happened there, but that is definitely abnormal behavior for that speaker!

When you get the new speaker just unscrew the defective one, remove the connectors noting + and - (polarity), connect them to the new driver, screw it back into the cabinet. You're done!

    Good Luck!
