I have a pair of RTI A7s paired with an NAD 356DAC amp. I am really enjoying this pairing but was curious about speaker placement. What is the optimal distance from the wall and distance from each speaker for two channel music listening? The room I have my speakers in is roughly 10x15.
Any other tips you could provide in order to get the most out of my setup?

Thanks in advance.

The basic advice is don't put them to close to any wall and experiment. There is no set value for placement as every room is different. You need to move them around a little and play with toe-in to see what sounds best to you in your room.

My A7s are not that sensitive to location, as long as you shove them right next to the wall. They have this baffle behind the ports, may be that helps. As long as I have a foot to the wall, they sound clean. I can't tell difference between 1 foot or two feet from the wall, but if you put them very close i notice some gain and distortion..

I have found that tube based computers provide the best sound quality. ENIAC and MANIAC I offer a smooth, well defined and articulated sound unmatched by the current silicon based CPUs.
But as in all things your perception is your reality.

I appreciate the replies. I guess I will just play around with them and go from there.
