Hopefully this isn't too dumb of a question, but I've searched the web and manual so hopefully someone here can answer it. I have an older Sony STR series receiver that lets me play video through one source, and listen to audio through another. So, video1 playback for monitor, CD playback for sound. I would do this all the time when gaming, but I'm using a SC-25 now. Is this possible with the 25? I would love to have this option back. TIA

In a simple answer NOPE. I also came from a Sony model and am very familiar with what you are asking, but unfortunately this is not the case with the Pioneer models. You can listen to music on the Xbox and still game through the console though. I have my PC networked through the Xbox and PS3 and do it that way.

Are you saying there is a way to stream music through my PS3 during gameplay? I'll go wild on some Tiger if so...

HDMI is what sets this apart from your old receiver which was running analog. You can assign anything you want with any video you want anywhere. This is a feature of most receivers.
However , Pioneer Elite may not do this but Integra can to a point.
Any HDMI or any video input can be watched , then switched to the CD/TV input which is analog audio by default. You first get the video from any video source , then switch to CD/TV input and the video remains and the audio switches. Very useful feature for someone who want this feature. I'm sure you can setup other inputs to analog or even digital in but you can't however send HDMI audio and video and split them up.
