Would this be a good receiver to drive the SDA-2B's??

I believe that particular Carver amp is common ground, but you should check because many carvers are not. It is not a good amp for running less than 8 ohms though, and the SDA 2b's run less than 8 ohms, would not be my first choice. I think you could find something much more suitable that is more stable at lower ohms. Good Luck

Without hearing it, I would say it would do a decent job.

After looking closer at it, it looks more like band gear, so switching to possibly get the HK AVR 635 (I think that's the model) and call it a wrap for the bedroom.

Never seen band gear receiver....I have the 900 which is in the same family. It does a super job with my sda. I would double check the common ground and rock out. Guaranteed its sounds better then the HK
    Too much **** to list....

What I meant by band gear, is the handles. Reminded me of band days?? The seller of the Carver is offering it up to me for 50.00 delivered to my door,(he only lives a mile from me:lol:) so a hundred less than the HK, I may have to chomp on that tonight a little?? Especially if you say the Carver will sound better?? That is what matters. Besides the handles on the Carver, the thing looks brand new.

My AV-705x Carver 5 channel amp had rack handles too, I would jump on that piece if I was you

I drove less than 4 ohms with one of those Carver 150's for about two years. Amp never hiccuped or got even close to hot.

Lot of people just talk to get heard.
