A 1999 Lexus ES300 with 207,000 miles on it and still drives and runs beautifully. I will drive it till it dies as I see no need to get rid of it..

Yep, mine is a '96 with 203,000, runs and drives better than some new American models for sure. No rattles, body noises, etc. My daughter has a newer Cobalt, what a POS.

My other car is a '98 Accord.....also runs like a top aside from being somewhat neglected over the years. 165,000 on that one too. I also hate car payments and with some cars costing the price of a condo these days, I sure don't need the added expense.

I got a 2009 Camry LS with about 40K on it. No payments. Really loaded, nice car that has no "soul" or spirit whatsoever. Compared to previous vehicles such as The Green Mamba, The Chief, The Hindenburg, The Shark, and The Gray Shark, this thing ranks as The Wild Bore.

2010 Toyota RAV4 AWD with 45,000 miles since purchased new. Mechanically, it's perfect. But I can't believe how many rattles and squeaks this car have....not to mention the interior having some of the cheapest plastic around. Still, I will drive it until at least 100,000 miles. If I can get good money for it at that time (in about 3 years at current rate), I will exchange it for another car.

Eyeing new Nissan Altima or Honda Accord.

Our daily is a 07 ltd Rav4 great CUV, but as someone else pointed out this thing rattles. Our other is a 98 altima this has 138k kms, it is our maternity car. (driven pretty much only when she was on Mat leave and will be again soon). It suffers only from rust in the typical Atima areas oh and the seats are not very comfortable. No payments on either.

2001 Toyota Echo. Not fun to drive like our previous VW's and noisy on the highway. But it is extremely reliable; low cost of ownership, and does a good job of passing gas stations: so far, over its lifetime (currently at about 155K miles), it has averaged 45 mpg.

'97 Ford Ranger with over 215,000 miles. This truck just won't quit. Recently had a tree limb fall on it. Still running but the manual trans is killing me in rush hour traffic. I just don't want to spend the coin on a new car but it's looking like New Car vs Knee Replacement, lol!

Test drove a new Miata with the retractable hardtop. Love it. $30K.
Test drove a new Mustang. Love it. $30K.
Eyeing the new V6, 8 speed Charger. Love it. $35K.

    Love is expensive.

Hey ! I too happen to have a 93 Bonnevile (dark green metalic), those are way far from mediocre cars! (especially the turbocharged versions !) The 3800 is Legendary !!! Have you redone the upper & lower intake manifolds yet ?

Personally, I don't think I've ever owned a car anyone here would care to fawn over and probably "never" will! Don't get off on the internal combustion engine and all its accoutrements. Does that mean I have to hand in my "man" card: Since driving that 600 hp+ overpriced vehicle. Makes one a real man, right! lol
