You still use pioneer elite to drive your speakers? I was thinking of going with a sc-67 for my 7.1 media room.Dan

Well, that is still up in the air. For sure I am using my tyler acoustic taylo 7u towers and probably my dynaudio audience 120C+. Before i was running a 3.1 but I am planning on going to a 7.2.
I was using the vsx-21txh as a pre and to power the dynaudio and a krell kav-300i to power the tylers. Im planning on selling the krell and upgrading the reciever to the sc-67. What is the big difference between the sc-68? I know that it is hundreds more. I am only using the receiver for 1 zone and I was planning on biamping the tylers. Im thinking of buying martin logan em-fx2 surrounds for side speakers and maybe some martin logan in ceiling speakers for the back surrounds. But I am open minded in that regard. If that was the case I would eventually upgrade my center channel to a martin logan also to help blend the sound. I am still undecided as to what type and what brand of speakers to get for surrounds.
Another question I have is how is the SC-67/68 with video processing. I noticed when I eventually unhooked my receiver (sold house and was packing), I was forced to watch tv with just the directv hooked straight to the tv. It was a more vibrant picture. I am wondering if it was the pioneer degrading the picture or maybe the cheap hdmi cables i purchased. I do want to make sure I get the most of my gear, including my tv picture quality.Living Room setup: Pioneer Elite VSX-21TXH, Krell KAV 300i, PS Audio DL III DAC, Tyler Acoustics Taylo 7u, Dynaudio Audience 120C+, SVS 25/31PCI, B-P-T Clean Power Center, Ps3, Panny 50" S1 Plasma, Tekline speaker cables, Audio Art interconnects, and Pangea power cables. -
If your into Computer music , the internal USB DAC is fantastic. I have tested so many external DAC's and keep going back to the SC-68's internal and feel I'm not missing anything by not going external. I'm very impressed with this AVR and everything Pioneer did with it.Dan

I stream music from my computer to my theater. I did have it hooked up through my ps3 via ethernet. Will I be able to connect my router directly to the receiver and play music that way?Living Room setup: Pioneer Elite VSX-21TXH, Krell KAV 300i, PS Audio DL III DAC, Tyler Acoustics Taylo 7u, Dynaudio Audience 120C+, SVS 25/31PCI, B-P-T Clean Power Center, Ps3, Panny 50" S1 Plasma, Tekline speaker cables, Audio Art interconnects, and Pangea power cables.

I might even go with the SC-65. Not 100% yet.Living Room setup: Pioneer Elite VSX-21TXH, Krell KAV 300i, PS Audio DL III DAC, Tyler Acoustics Taylo 7u, Dynaudio Audience 120C+, SVS 25/31PCI, B-P-T Clean Power Center, Ps3, Panny 50" S1 Plasma, Tekline speaker cables, Audio Art interconnects, and Pangea power cables.

Yea it seems the core is the same as the 67/68 and it just lacks a few features with usb and zones. For me I will only need one hdmi out so that is not a issue. I am not sure if the other options are things i will use.Living Room setup: Pioneer Elite VSX-21TXH, Krell KAV 300i, PS Audio DL III DAC, Tyler Acoustics Taylo 7u, Dynaudio Audience 120C+, SVS 25/31PCI, B-P-T Clean Power Center, Ps3, Panny 50" S1 Plasma, Tekline speaker cables, Audio Art interconnects, and Pangea power cables.
