I always see references to biwiring speakers. I have noticed 4 posts on the back of my speakers, but only used the usual speaker cables to connect them to the receiver. If someone could be so kind and tell what biwiring is and what are the pros and cons. Thanks.

Hank

Thanks Grim. Just a technical question how does bi-wiring work? How would I hookup bi-wires to a speaker?

It requires 2 sets of wires per speaker. At one end you take both positives and twist them together, then do the same for the negatives. Hook that end to the speaker terminal on the RECEIVER. Then, remove the metal jumpers on the RTi70's. Take one end of the 2 set of wires and connect them accordingly to the top binding post which runs the tweeters. Then do the same to the bottom binding post which run the mids. Just make sure you have the polarity correct +/+, -/-. Same for at the receiver. Hope this helps.

Here is a link from my system showcase that shows what it should look like at the speaker. I can never get a picture uploaded on this forum. Its always to damn big.
