Volume Issues

I recently inherited a Yamaha YP-D71, and after hooking it up, I discovered that even at the highest volume level of my stereo, the sound is still very low. I plugged it into a stereo with just the red and white output.

Any advice?

    What input is it plugged into? You will need to plug that TT into a phono preamp or phono input of your receiver or the signal will be very low. A phono pre provides the necessary gain and eq (riaa equalization) that turntables require.
