Mad cause you broke the rules and got caught?

No, not really. Just looking for opinions and how this has happened to others. I normally follow the rules and rarely break them "knowingly" hence my clean record. What does get under my skin is how I normally run the speed limit or maybe 5 over and one of the few times I'm actually speeding I get caught...oh well, just wasn't my day I guess. I am thankful that the young kid(looked like he was still in High School) cut me the break on points.
I take a 15 mile section of the interstate here to work each day, posted at 65mph...I never go over 70 as the old Cavalier just don't like that and the vast majority of people fly by me, must be going 90+ yet they aren't on the side of the road with flashing lights in their rear view mirror.
Yep, my name really is Bob.

I think you should verify that this ticket you got doesn't include points if you simply pay it. I've never heard of a speeding violation without points.

Can you believe that Frederick Co. Maryland is equipping school buses with cameras to record drivers that disregard the stop signal on the bus, and........the fine will only be $125.00 and zero points ! A much more serious violation than a simple 15mph. over the limit, IMO.

My agency had an instrumental part in those cameras. I didn't know they were getting out to Maryland though. Cool deal.

I think they've outfitted 15 buses to start out with, more to follow, supposedly. IMO, there damn sure ought to be points awarded for endangering school kids in that manner! :frown:

It's funny because I just got a job offer today from the department (same agency) that did that.

I would say, statistically speaking, more people are killed/injured and more likely to kill/injure from speeding than overtaking a bus with a stop sign out. However, I do agree...that's such a common sense thing, you should be 'pointed' for lack of common sense at the least...haha.

IMO, anyone passing a stopped school bus should have their license revoked. It's no fun peeling an eight year old out of the grille of a car.
