In case you missed it, the 703's were reviewed in the Sept issue. Seemed very positive. Wrote about "new events" that came out in recordings he's listened to dozens of times before with other speakers. That sounds pretty impressive from someone who does lots of listening with various speakers. Good job Polk!!!

Yes, it's an excellent review from a magazine that has historically hated Polk Audio since the late 1980's and refused to review almost anything from it's product line after that. It's about time they recognize what has changed in the last couple decades.

can find it on their website. is it only in the magazine? Can someone post a pic of the graph of the frequency response curve? I am very interested. THanks.

Just an FYI! Stereophile has given positive reviews of the following Polk speakers...

    RT25i - 9/01
    LSi7 - 3/03
    RTiA1 - 9/08
    RTiA3 - 7/12 and 8/12
    LSiM703 - 9/12

For $1 a month I usually learn something from subscribing to Sterophile. It covers everything from the esoteric to the ubiquitous. Stereophile, like any other source on audio, can provide useful insights.

It certainly has its moments and you probably don't know the history of Polk and the relationship with Stereophile. You have no idea what kind of work had to be done to get them to review the RTiA and even the LSi at introduction. It would be nice to see more mainstream gear from time to time and not so much $10k-50k for the most part of all issues. Oh well....it's just a magazine.

Did they have anything to say about the LSi-15's?

They be lovin' Bob Carver at Stereophile and probably wouldn't give anything of his a positive review even if it were absolute perfection in every aspect. Yeah, that's my estimation of them fellers. (mainly:lol:)

Please, they'll be all over Bob and his new work like they've been long time friends. That stuff happened a couple decades ago and they want every bit of Bob's love as they can get for whatever reason. It will be gushing reviews, I guarantee you.

I hear ya! I don't know the history between Polk and Stereophile, but I will say that way back in the day Sterophile rubbed me the wrong way. I remember subscribing years ago when it was about the size of a pamphlet. I rarely continued the subscription, but tried it off and on throughout the years. They could be very opinionated and snobby! Now days, they have softened and cover a broad range of products. I have learned, after so many years in this hobby, what is important to me and what is not. At least they cover Polk now and an array of nicely priced quality equipment. I'm interested in knowing what the history is between Polk and Stereophile - can you give some detail? Thanks!
