Just picked up a set of RT3000P's - One sub amp out!

Alrighty. I got the score of a lifetime on Monday. $99 for a pair of RT3000P's, what I think is a CS245 center (no label), and an Integra DTR-9.1 AVR. Everything works great except one of my sub amps is not functioning. I have power to it...no audio though. Tried routing through the LFE and with speaker wire.
So has anyone fixed these before? What should I be looking for once I have the amp out of the cabinet? Will Polk repair it? Is there a replacement or updated version of the amp?
I'm already in love with these speakers...so I'm definitely interested in getting this repaired. I wasn't a Polk fan until I got these in my house...that changed my mind pretty quickly. Phenomenal speakers...even with one sub out.
Thanks in advance!

Hello crajos,
Welcome to Polk's forum. You could try some basic troubleshooting by removing one of the 8" woofers and checking the internal wiring. The two woofers are connected in series, there should be a red wire going from the amp to the positive of the top woofer. Then a wire going from the negative of the top woofer to the positive of the lower woofer and the negative of the lower woofer connects back to the bass amp.
Do you have a volt/ohm meter available? If so, you could check the continuity of the two woofers to see if one has an open voice coil.
Regards, Ken -
Will check it out Ken. I also noticed today that the bottom driver in one of the bookshelves is barely audible. Gonna have to troubleshoot that one too. And I'll be buying a multimeter today...I think it's about time I made the purchase.

Let us know what you find. A VOM can be very handy in checking out lots of things in an audio system.

I took the non working sub apart. After close inspection, I found the previous owner had taken the plate amp out and broken a solder connection. Got 'er back together and I've got dual subs running great!
Still have to take apart the bookshelf and investigate that driver. Thanks for the help again!
