Just letting anyone who didn't see it know that I have a thread going in the DIY forum to get a group together to buy the 1000VA transformer. If you're interested please post here:

Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

Knocking at 10 years since the first group buy. Looks like the original thread is long gone, I’m sure because of vanilla.. What a shame..
Would be nice to know how many we did total between the three group buy’s, I think the 16/17 group was 32, so my guess is between 70-80 units…
Imagine the sticker price on them today -
Good times 😊 The last one some bought multiple units. We had close to 30 and some guy made us some sweeet housings for us.
I'd agree we got close to 100 of those bad boys. -
This one goes back to 2008 from Scott, not sure what Trans he is using here though.

So I was thinking the first group buy was in 2012 now I am not so sure, also it looks like the last one was not that long ago 2019, so I assume we had four group buys? so there probably is about 100 of these in the wild, not including the 800VA's.
Using the search on here just mixes the threads up.. -
I have been working on the extra one I have, and putting the goodie’s I have on my other one, and finally built a set of cables for it as well, this is what caused my curiosity of how many are out there.
One thing you learn doing this is how time flies by. It has been a lot of fun doing what we have done, and it has been a safe, and honest place to do it..

Larry,
I like that (new) handle, and I have always liked your personal "spikes".
Wish I had a second one too."Sometimes you have to look to the past to understand where you are going in the future"Anger is just anger. It isn’t good. It isn’t bad. It just is. What you do with it is what matters.
You can use it to build or to destroy. You just have to make the choice. Jim Butcher

Definitely one that makes a night and day difference. No matter what amp you’re using it’s noticeable..

That handle came from McMaster Carr 😎
