I have installed two IHT Surroundbar 4000 in and exercise room for a customer. Each SB is connected to a Samsung 64E7000 plasma via optical cable. Each display has it's own DirecTV set top box. One setup is set to channel 1 the other is set to channel 2. The displays are 4 feet apart. After about 20 minutes of viewing each of the SB become garbled and almost inaudible. I have set DirecTV to output dolby digital, internal speakers on display off. Wondering if there may be a cross talk issue. High end client that expects perfection. Feel like a dope, don't want to continue trial and error process. Any information on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    Hello,
I would try setting the two DirecTV outputs to PCM instead of Dolby digital. If you're still having a problem call Polk's CS department at 1-800-377-7655 for answers.
    Regards, Ken

If you are going toslink from box to TV, then RCA from TV to soundbar, then Kenneth is right, go PCM. Shouldn't the internal speakers be set to off? You are not using them correct?

Thanks for the help. deronb1--- The setup is running from the direcTV box via HDMI to a Keydigital 4x4 swticher, out of the switcher to each display via HDMI as well. The only optical connection is directly from the display to the SB. SB is mounted directly under each display. No the display speakers are not being used.

The DirecTV box only has a setting for Dolby Digital On/Off. As of right now it is set to ON. Box does not give option for PCM

    Hello,
    Try setting them to "off".
