Well, it's time to move on. I kept these around for 9 months, which is saying a lot for me! These are exceptional speakers, and they are in truly excellent condition.
$3k.
Preference given to local pickup in Alexandria, VA. I have the shipping cartons, and I will ship them, but it will be a couple hundred bucks. If picking up, pay cash. If not picking up, pay with US Postal Money Orders or Paypal (add 3.5% for Paypal).

I've had a chance to hear this model and they are great sounding speakers (and beautiful to boot). They are worth every penny IMO. I'm assuming since these are a few years old that they are the BE tweeters?
Buyer beware as there is nothing "mini" about these. GLWTS!
Thanks for the back. Yep these are the BE's. 90lbs a piece, so yea, they're substantial... but not overly large. They're very dense. :biggrin:2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

That's a wonderful pair of loudspeakers....one of my favorite manufacturers aside from Polk of course.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Compared to the big boys, the Mini 2's are mini. Check out the Be-20:

304 lbs a piece! (they're also $21.2K!)
These Mini 2's get you a big percentage of the quality and performance of the big boys for a small fraction of the price.2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

So, are these on the bay? Any updates on the price reduction yet? LOL, I kid.
I am in a bit of an overcrowded, too many speakers, limited space, and home searching etc. crunch. Else, I would take these from you in a heartbeat. I am a huge fan of the 'BE sound and searched tirelessly all of last year, ranging form the 718s to the CP's. I already know I will regret to see these go elsewhere but such is the timing in life.
Good luck, who(m)ever ends up with these will be very lucky and happy.

If you lie again, I may have to lie on my post as well. If these are available the end of this month, consider me a serious contender. But do not let that stop you from making the deal so stupid good, it makes me stupid as if it is not already stupid good. It is a win - win.
Is there ever a thing as short sells or foreclosures in audio equipment? I need a moment of silence as I pray to the speaker g...........

Good deal, I'll keep you in mind. I'll probably throw them up on ebay sometime this week with a high opening price or reserve just to see what happens. You never know over there. I wouldn't be surprised if they went for 3k+, but with speakers like these, it's all about the right people seeing them at the right time.2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

Always good to see great speakers find an eager new owner.
Hopefully the buyer sticks around the forum. New people are good too. -

Congrats hukkfinn.....the difference between the BE version and the DMD are noticable but its like rolling tubes, the hobby...I will be ordering the BE version tweets for the enjoyment of change of gear and experiment.
