Sounds all too familiar. When I dumped my entire 2-ch system in 2008 (I kept my VPI thank heavens), I didn't try to kid myself into thinking it wouldn't be replaced over time. I knew I had at least a few years before I would have any chance of getting my own space again, so I did it slowly and methodically. A few craigslist steals here and there. Always looking for stuff to flip. Got to try out a few venerable models. Picked up a few pieces of electronics here/there as I made profits from fixing/selling. Then hit the motherload of gear and the SS-M9 a couple summers ago. Selling most of that gear allowed me to finish things off the way I wanted, and now that I've finally moved into the new house and have a basement space that can actually fit a proper 2-ch system, I have all the pieces in place. Grinn.

Trey, we support you bro. Its not a sickness, just a way of life.

EDIT: In case you didn't follow my other thread, this is what I finally was able to do a couple weekends ago: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?130567-Finally-going-to-get-a-man-pit&p=1798679&viewfull=1#post1798679

Man that is a great system you have constructed brother!

    Congrats!

I am definitely just finding as much gear as I humanly possibly can and going through it... :)
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Thanks man. It definitely needs some fine tuning and maybe some acoustic treatment. I also don't want to keep both of those stands (the Salamander is empty except for the TT on top), so I need to change that setup. I love the Salamander rack, but it just doesn't keep things cool enough inside. I also like to see my gear, so it will probably be sold at some point. I'm thinking wall mount stand for the TT and I'll probably re-stain the wood on the VPI to a darker color or just make it black.
