Opinions RT20 P Speakers
Have a chance to buy a pair of RT20p speakers for around $300. Supposedly mint condition with all original packaging. Seller also has matching CS350 center. Any opinions?

I've heard good things although I've not heard them directly. I have some RT16s which are from the same series. I like them alot. If they are indeed mint and the amps are in good shape then I think it could be a nice addition for you. The drivers are some of the more rare items so if something goes bad down the road it could take some time to find a replacement.

They are fantastic speakers but I agree with the repair troubles. Maybe not to bad as I'm sure some replacement drivers maybe a upgrade anyway. I always liked those and for 300 bucks with a center channel , its a steal. Go try and buy anything new to even come close to performing anywhere near their abilities.
When you buy used , you get a lot more for your money when they are in good shape. Even if in ok shape your getting a very good product for a lot less then retail. Always worth it.Dan

OP, if $300 Includes the center than I think becomes an easier decision. That's a nice sounding front soundstage.

Thanks for input. Picking up towers and center with all original packing, boxes, manuals, supposedly in "like new" condition for $300 early am. Should I need a separate sub for movies? Would Fx500i make good surrounds with these?

Yes and yes , run them full range , no LFE and get an external sub.Dan

So, run lfe from receiver to sub and a full range preamp output to inputs on low section of rt20s?
