3.1tl's for $600. They look a little rough, but who knows maybe you can negotiate a deal. No affiliation. https://charlotte.craigslist.org/ele/5732554921.html
The seller had them listed at $400. originally, but they had no tweeters in them at that time.
If someone was close by, I'd offer him 4 bills, I'm sure he would accept.

He texted me last night. He repairs speakers on the side. From what I understand the tweeters were dismantled and cleaned and then put back together. 4 would likely get you close if not in them.HT/2Channel: Emotiva MMC-1, Adcom GFA-555II, Polk SDA 3.1's, Teac TN-300 TT, Polk Center and Sub.

The AI-1 is an isolation transformer used in place of the interconnect cable when using the SDA's with non-common ground amplifiers. Search the forum for Dreadnought, which is a modern DIY superior version of the original Polk AI-1.

Dont know if I'd pay that much for em. Yes they have the controller (hard to find and required), but those BASH amps on the SDA subs were not factory, and he replaced the entire rear panel of the sub boxes to account for the new amps.
Does it make a negative difference sound wise... no idea, though I'd think it hurts pricing and at 3k he is a bit on the high side to begin with..."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Are these any good?
I've heard the Monitor 9s are horrible sounding speakers. Like was previously mentioned I would buy just for the history as Polk's first speaker (beyond the Live PA stuff that got them in the business).

Why does that picture look so strange? Like it's a tiny toy model of a Monitor 7. @mhardy6647afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.
