I checked into these (like I need another pair), and they are original CRS's with blade/blade and two tweeters. She sent me additional photos, and they are in really nice shape with the real wood cabinets (as opposed to vinyl). I passed on them. She is local to me, so if someone else was interested, I could pick them up and arrange some kind of delivery or meet up later.
I bought em .. they do in fact look brand new. They are the originals ... I've never heard the CRS+ so I'm very very satisfied. Thanks for passing on them
They were bought in New Mexico per the original sales receipt ... 11/12/88. The receipt indicates they were bought with stands ... bummer the owner could not find them. If anyone has a set of CRS stands to sell let me know. In the meantime they are mounted at 26 inches.

Without doing something like Boston suggested, I guess you could say they are restricted. I don't think there is a TL mod route. BUT, for a hundie, that's still a great deal. Throw in some 194s, upgrade crossover components, rings, dampening, etc etc... Freaking awesome speakers. They're most likely 86' CRS+s. Same crossover as the SDA-2As that I have. they can be fully upgraded including the "TL" Mod.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Newbie here. Hello all knowing Polk folk! I bought the CRS+ set from Va for $100. Got them setup and running. Sounds pretty great for speakers that aren't much bigger than standard bookshelves. Fiddling with placement now. Amazing bass from small footprint. These are my first foray into SDA world.
