It's not surprising at all. See the pile of crap he left in Trey's FS thread? lol--Gary--

50hz? you're joking right? with all the SDA thing, I think there are more than 2 XO points."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Those are the specs that Polk published. I did not do any measurements to verify and I don't know if anyone else has. It is possible that there was a typo in the published specs and it is also possible that there may be "secret" crossover frequencies pertaining to the dimensional drivers. You may want to verify all this with Polk's customer service.

Given the size (6.5")of the woofers, 50hz is probably as low as they can go anyway.
I remember reading somewhere that there is another XO point at 150hz for the 4 woofers running normal signal (not SDA signal from the other side). is there any truth to this?
BTW, I just noticed that the tweeters aren't pushing SDA signal at all according to the Sticky. If that is true, then 2 tweeters in each tower are pushing the same frequency? if not, then isn't there another XO point? -

Depending on model and especially generation the x-over points and the drivers affected are different.
Certain generations SDA the tweeter were part of the SDA signal (with the side by side tweets). Later generations with multiple vertical tweeters use what's called a "progressive point source" and each plays at a different output level combined create a single point source.
Get your Google search on, especially and the POLK SDA website and start reading reviews as well as the Polk literature from over the years. It explains a lot of your questions, as well as several SDA threads on CP. I know it can be tedious to do the research, but if you aren't willing to put in the effort to get the info you need then maybe you should rethink the "clone". I and others are tired of constantly re-tracing all the same questions. I found the information somewhere originally, I'm sure you can too.
Good luck

slight derail
anyone have an idea about how low the mw6600 digs? -
IIRC, the 6503 is the 6500 replacement, so it should be similar."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

well yes that is correct, I'll have to check ohms on a 6600 I seem to remember they were lower ohms than listed. My sda's use 3 6600 and a 6501 for dim. anyhoo thanks Face -
Did you ever fallow through with the experiment? The SDA's in these Troels Gravesen PMS would be interesting.
