Up for sale is my Parasound HCA-1206. It was my first separate amp that got me hooked on Parasound and was used to power RTiA9's and a CSiA6. I've since upgraded to a HCA-2003. I was going to use this to power my rear speakers, but a RT5000p system came up for sale, and I'd like to have that more! Want to help me give it a good home?
Specs from Parasound:
Continuous Power Output
> 135 watts RMS x 6, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 8 Ω, all channels driven
> 200 watts RMS x 6, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 4 Ω, all channels driven
Continuous Power Output - Bridged
> 350 watts RMS, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 8 Ω, each bridged channel, 3+4, 5+6
Current Capacity:
30 amperes peak, per channel
Slew Rate:
> 130 V/?second
Frequency Response:
12 Hz - 120 kHz, +0/-3 dB
Total Harmonic Distortion
< 0.07% at full power
< 0.03% typical levels
Channel one does not work, there is a lot of distortion and the overload light comes on. The rest of the channels are fine. I was using it as a three channel amp, with channel 2 going to the center, and 3+4 and 5+6 bridged giving 350w to each of the A9's and it worked great! There are some cosmetic flaws, dings, slightly bent rear handles none of which affects sound from the good channels!
Will be shipped in a plastic bag, in a double thick box with minimum 2" foam padding so it can't move and is well padded.
I'd like to get $350 plus shipping, about $50 most places, but make me an offer with what you think it's worth, and help me give a RT5000p system a good home!
