A guy near me has a pretty mint pair of 10B's with stands.

He is the original owner and has the original manuals

What would be a fair price for these?

Great speakers! Without the stands the range would be 80-125. With the stands, if they were primo mint. Still not more than 150.

What's he asking for them? I hope it's reasonable!

I completely identify with that. My SDAs are currently in the closet while the JBLs are in rotation. And tomorrow, I'm driving to pick up some EPI 120Cs (vintage 10" two way with the "burhoe" tweeter).

It is a sickness but one with no pain! lol

Those look pretty Minty, I would buy them. Nothin wrong with stashing them and then rotating them into the mix. It is a illness, you know you will think about them if you don't buy them. I bet your having second thoughts aren't you get them already.

True! True! I'm just glad she doesn't pay that close of attention to the comings and goings of speakers around here! :loneranger:

If those Monitor 10s are truly minty - it's kinda hard to tell from your pics - then they are definitely worth the $140, especially with the stands included!! I've seen MANY pairs of 10s (not all of them being too minty) sell on Ebay for from $200 to $300, and that's WITHOUT the stands. They are one of my favorite Polk speakers, being they were my first Polk purchase back in the late '80s, and one pair I have never regretted buying and probably will never sell. Heck, I sold my second pair of 10Bs for well over $200 and have had 2 or 3 offers of at least $30 just for the stands!!

It's also a super bonus knowing that they are now with the original owner, moreso if you know this guy wasn't abusing them and is a trustworthy person.

Wait no longer, go get 'em!

I'm interested in the stands if he,ll sell separately.
