Using SDA Instant Home Theater Subwoofer w/o the Soundbar

This is bit of a strange, but I picked up a Polk SDA Instant Home Theater subwoofer (only $10!) at a thrift store. Electrically it seems intact and I had hopes of converting it into a wired (not wireless as it is now) subwoofer, but in staring at the internal circuit boards I realize that this might be for complicated than I thought.
My son expects me to come through on this, so I have two questions:
1. Is it possible to get a schematic diagram for the internal amplifier for this subwoofer to see if it can possibly be modified for direct connection? It appears that the subwoofer goes into "standby mode" when no sound is present, so I'll need to figure out how to get around that too. I suspect the answer is no on the schematic, but it never hurts to ask. :-)
2. Does Polk sell a transmitter (only) that I can use to send audio to the subwoofer? I suppose if I can find the rest of the home theater soundbar I might have a chance, but I doubt I'll find one. I know Polk does make a wireless subwoofer link system, but I only need the transmitter.
Any other ideas out there?
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
It would be best to give Polk's CS a call at 1-800-377-7655 for information.
Regards, Ken -

Thanks, Ken. I sent CS a note, so I'll see what they say.
