I think the 194's are drop ins for the sl2000's. Could i do peerless with a added 1.5uf cap ( making tjem 13.5uf) if correct would the peerless be better than the 194 and the 198's?

Don't mess with the Peerless, get the RD0194-1's which are plug-n-play and call it a day. The difference is more about preference than overall better performance as the RD0's are fantastic and alot better than the sl2000, especially an aged sl2000.

It's more than just the capacitor value, the resistor(s) will also most likely need to be changed, and let's not forget about the inductor that's part of the 2nd order crossover. All these values were carefully chosen by the designer. In addition, the Peerless has a different mounting plate, which is slightly smaller, and the holes don't line up exactly either. Best to stick with the drop-in RDO-194s, and enjoy the music.
BTW, the Peerless are great tweeters on there own, and still sound great, but the RDO-194s sound better IMHO

Thanks, the peerleas do sound better than the sl2000, just wasnt sure about where the 194 stacked up against the peerless. Didnt realize tje inductor and resistor change. Makes the disision easy (194's) . Thanks again.
