Alternative component cable?

I have tried for the last week to bid on 4 sets of monster m1000cv 2m length. I have gotten outbid at the last minute every time. I know Mantis highly recommends this line, but I really can't afford to pay retail at the time and Ebay is really pissing me off. My question, is there similar quality cable by other companies that is comparable performance wise to the m1000cv? I have read on other forums that Bluejean or Canare cables are good. Can anyone suggest other companies/lines? Thanks!

Here is *buy now* price that much cheaper than I paid for mine from Tweeter:

I believed I paid $180 at Tweeter for 2 meter + tax. Also, you may want to check www.signalcable.com for a good alternative.I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie. -
We are using two sets of Signal Cable component video on a friend's HT rig and the PQ is outstanding."What we do in life echoes in eternity"

Use S-video on that TV.Component will not be worth the cost.If you had a Progressive TV then yeah man do ti up.But it looks like a standard 32 to me.
You can always go M500......about half the cost and I don't think you'll see a difference on that size screen.
If you had a larger screen then go for the better cable.

What do you guys think about www.bluejeancable.com? Model Belden 7710A 6 foot length. I compared the specs to the signal cable and it looks pretty much the same. The bluejean cable is tested to 3ghz and the signal is to 2 ghz. Do you think this will be an upgrade for the RS fusions?Receiver = Denon AVR-3803

Those are the exact same cables that I am currently using. Blue Jeans Cable is an awesome company to deal with, every single one of my experiences with them has been perfect.
As for the cable, I think its amazing. I switched over from Monster component cables to the Canare/Belden from BJC earlier this year and could tell a world of difference. Even with an interlaced signal from the DVD player, my 60" TV has never looked better. -

Build your own cables, get the best picture quality, and save a lot of money. All you need is some RG-6 or RG-6 Quad Shield cable, 6 RCA male crimp/twist on connectors, and maybe some colored heatshrink if you want to get fancy. Here's an example site of "how to", or just Google for "DIY component cables how to":
http://home.new.rr.com/zaph/audio/audio-cables.html
It says it's for audio, but cables like that are way more than enough for even high def video.
A time ago, when I didn't know any better, I had a set of Monster and AR Pro component cables, running from my HD satellite box and DVD player. Curiosity got me to build my own, and guess what............ the picture was improved. I would have been happy if the ones I built were just equal to the magical voodoo "superior" Monster and AR cables, but to my surprise they were even better. Due to shielding, likely. And the best part, my cost for a 2 meter set was only $12. It took me a whole 30 minutes, even with putting on red, blue, and green heatshrink.
The Bluejean or RS cables will work good and have a somewhat better price than the rediculous Monster, but are still more than what you could do it yourself for. And, you sure do not need anything "rated" to 2 or 3 Ghz, that's just impractical. Hopefully you can see how these "superior" cable manufacturers are able to turn a big profit from what their minuscule costs are, especially Monster.

I am pretty sure that I have made up my mind! I am going to buy the Bluejean 6 ft. component cable made of Canare V3-5CB cable with Canare RCAP-C53 connectors. I am also going to pick up one of their 6-channel audio interconnect (made with the same cable). I have really been reading up on this area and these seem to be a high quality cable for a low price. I was considering a DIY job but to buy the die, stripper, and crimper to do the job right would have made it pointless. So I'll post my finding s after I try them out! If anyone has any opinions please share them!Receiver = Denon AVR-3803

You don't need a die, stripper, crimper, or any other junk. Just some cable, connectors, a blade, and several minutes.
Oh well, good luck with the Bluejean cables. My Humble HT:

Belden is Belden, regardless of cable manufacturer. Connector wise, sure you can have higher grades than others, but its still a connector. Its the fabrication that makes a difference in these things.
Cable product, termination, solder, connectors, equipment, customer service, email, troubleshooting, etc, etc...these are all things that these low cost providers are doing for you to provide these cables.
I am well schooled enough to make my own S-Video cable, or whatever...but for $35, for a 6 ft Signal Cable brand....why the hell bother? I know that the work is top notch, the quality of the cable is a given, and I have other things to do.
Oh wait!!! I could save $5 if I DIY
DIY is an outstanding way to do things. Do it! Signal did the same thing when they were young....so did MIT....so did Kimber....its a business.

I'd make the 6' S-video cable for $5, in 10 minutes, know it's made right, and save $30.My Humble HT:
