what do I gain 1802-3803?

I noticed 6th Avenue still has the 3803 for 648.00. I've been living with my 1802 for almost 2 years now and it does alright other than not having preouts for the surround channels. Power output is not a concern as I have plenty of amps to run. Is there any difference in the processing other than 6.1, i.e. better components? Thanks for the help

    Dude do you really wnat me to answer that question???

    For starters how about more current and higher power.More amp channels and the ability to power a 2nd zone.Video upconverting,thats a big one for only one video feed to the monitor.Plasma's this is golden.The avr3803 is the best damn receiver under 1200.00.It smokes all others for features.There peramp section is second to none.

    The avr3803 sound better then the 1802.I say go for it and sell the 1802 while it's still worht something.

    The mighty avr3803 ........is it in you?

    I guess let me rephrase that. I only intend to use it for a pre/pro unless anyone knows a pre/pro that will outperform it for $650. Mitch

    Find a used Rotel rsp1066 or a B&K ref 30.

    I really like the idea of the ref 30 but unfortunately with Christmas around the corner the Ref 20 is about all my budget can handle right now. The reviews I read on the 20 weren't too good though when compared to the 30. I'll look into the Rotel. Thanks. Still looking for another CS400 by the way. I let the last one on Ebay get away because I was away from the computer. I have a want ad up on audiogon but no offers yet.
