Niles Integrated amp vs power amps

I have a Pioneer Elite VSX56TXi and a pair of Polk 11t monitors. I also have a Niles 275 integrated amplifier. I was wondering if I should pick up a Niles 2125 integrated amp or a Onkyo M282 power amp. What makes a difference between integrated and power? From what I understand, integrated I dont need a pre amp and with a power amp I need a pre amp.
Also, will the Niles 2125 or the M282 work with the Pioneer receiver? The receiver has pre outs for all channels.
If I do get the 2125 or M282, I will use that for the Polk 11t and use the 275 for the rears when I get them.
New to home audio so any advice is appreciated.

There is a used Niles 2125 for $200 but maybe I can talk price down a little. The M282 is $200 new.

If you are going to use the 11Ts for HT as well as 2 ch, then yes get the power amp and hook it up to your elite. The Niles integrated should power the speakers just fine if they are only for music.

it will be good only for music? not movies or anything else? I think the niles might actually be a power amp since it doesnt have volume knob. -
For what ever reason (and this going off thread a bit ) I thought Niles always made the periferial gear .Volume controls ,speaker selectors ,some ceiling speakers and other switchers.So how are their ampifiers,pre/amps and any other main units compared to the usual fare we talk about.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E

From the front and the back it looks like a power amp:

Niles isn't exactly known for their amps in a HT application. They more so serve distribution purposes such as whole house/zone amps for back ground music. Dedicated 2 channel or HT, plenty of other better options out there.HT SYSTEM-

the Niles is 125 x 2 @ 8 ohms for $200 used. Ive tried looking around but dont know much about amps or good amps espcecially relatively cheap even used. Any ideas?

I would avoid the Niles amps. They're not much better than what you can find in better AVRs or pro amps. if you had a really low end AVR it may be worth it, but given what your have now I'd say wait up until you can pull maybe 500 bucks together and you can get a lot of amp for that price.

@AsSiMiLaTeD
how do you like the hk3490? I think I might get that down the road..
i dont know too much but i saw that the Niles has high current and from what ive seen thats good. Alot of people do say that Niles isnt advised though. -

I have a 3490 sitting right here in the office, and it's superb.

Any thoughts on the Yamaha M-80?
