I have a pair of RTi12's and have had them for a few years now.
I love them and I love Polks customer service, they have been very good to me.

I blew one of the drivers last year and Polk sent a warranty replacement, which was very nice of them, and I installed it. It is the midrange driver, its actually the topmost speaker. Well I was watching a war movie the other day and I heard the speaker crackling so I took it out and discovered that the connections were quite loose. I tightened the clip and reattached the speaker but it continues to crackle during the booming parts of the war movie.

What do you suppose I should do?

are you sure it's the speaker? Are you driving them with external amp? Sometimes one of the channels of the amp make this popping noise in the speakers. Swap the speakers if u not sure.

I have found that tube based computers provide the best sound quality. ENIAC and MANIAC I offer a smooth, well defined and articulated sound unmatched by the current silicon based CPUs.
