Keep at it CC! I work in COPD research (the cause is mainly cigarette smoking here in US), and the most important thing we tell patients who have it is quitting is the best thing they can do for their lungs.

Also, most folks have to make more than one attempt in order to be successful. If you have a few puffs here and there don't worry. Just keep at.

    I'm impressed!

Thanks! Going strong still! I feel like everyday is easier than the last. I'm going to see if I can do one and done.

Update, still doing ok. I switched to the smaller patch so the cravings are a little worse, but not terrible. I'm ot going to lie to you guys and say that I haven't had a cig or two in these last few weeks, (the fourth!) but I haven't bought a pack. I feel like that a start to the beginning to an end!

Congrats, man! I'm proud. If it starts getting hard, look into the electronic cigs. My buddy has a few, and they're great. It's still nicotine, but at least they don't have all the tar and crap. They're surprisingly satisfying for a fake cig.

Stay with it. I celebrated 6 years on the 4th. I am not going to say that even this far out I do not think about having one (especially when the other option is strangling someone who truly deserves it). That is normal and will probably be with me the rest of my life. Alcohol and social situations where others are smoking around you will be the time you have to dig deep in your resolve, but it's all worth it.
