Thoughts on Def Tech Powerfield PF15 subwoofer

I have a chance to pick one up for a good price and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this sub. It's an older subwoofer from the late 90's, I believe. The reviews I've found on Audio Review indicate that it's a pretty serious sub, capable of good extension down to 15hz.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's been a long time since I have seen one and heard one go but from what I remember it was a beast and sounded great. I also remember thinking " This is a pretty damn nice sub".
If you can get it cheap enough and it's in great shape I can't see why not picking it up and giving it a run.Dan

Well it looks like I was too late for that but I found another Def Tech sub for even less. I picked it up last night and it works wonderfully. What's annoying though is the fact that there is no model number on the back. It has a 10 inch woofer and uses the Powerfield design. And judging by the cabinet, it looks to be from the early to mid 2000's. I suspect it's from one of their sub/sat system.Display: Sony 42" LCD
