OK here is my set up. I just acquired the awesome Polk SurroundBar 6000. It is connected to my Sharp 42D65U flatscreen TV via the digital optical cable. I have DirecTV receiver connected via HDMI (input 7) to the tv. I also have a Sharp blu ray player connect via HDMI (input 8) to the TV. Lastly, I also have a PS3 connected via HDMI (input 9) to the TV.
Direct TV Satellite connect via HDMI to TV gets great sound on soundbar.
On the Sharp Blu ray player connected HDMI to TV gets great sound on soundbar.
When I switch to PS3 I get no sound on the soundbar. I do get sound on the speakers of the TV if I turn back on variable mode of the TV.
So - what am I doing wrong?
How do I get the sound from my PS3 to go through the TV and out to the soundbar? Is there a setting I am missing somwhere?
Please help!
Thanks!

PS3 Settings - Audio Settings - HDMI
Think I found the problem. Per the PS3 manual..."When using an HDMI cable, only [Linear PCM 2 Ch.] audio will be output from PlayStation?2 and PlayStation? format software. To output Dolby Digital or DTS audio, you must connect the PS3? system and the audio device using a digital optical cable and switch to [Digital Out (Optical)] under [Audio Output Settings]."
I am guessing the soundbar cannot process the linear PCM 2 ch. sent across an HDMI cable to the TV, and then out to it via digital optical cable.
So begs question - how do I get this to work?
