Considering a Adcom 555, speaker protection a concern?

I recently bought some monitor 10's and have decided they need more power than the 65RMS they get from my marantz 2245. I wanted a marantz 250, but the cost is prohibitive so I have been looking at Adcom GFA-555's since they are relatively inexpensive and I will never have to worry about headroom again. BUT....do I need to be worried about speaker protection? My monitor 10's do have polyswitches but should I add fuses temporaroly? or add a speaker protection circuit to the 555?

If the 555 is in good health I'd say you have nothing to worry about.

A word on speaker protection circuits, None of them are %100 perfect or will protect against all the possible things that can go wrong with a amp, besides it's just another circuit to get between you and your music.“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” ~ Mark Twain -
