MicroPro 3000 no sound

Hello. I just received a brand new MicroPro 3000 directly from Polk Audio. This is my 3rd MicroPro, which has been upgraded from a 2000 by Polk because of all the troubles I have gone through trying to get a working sub (it's been over 5 months of wading through customer service and sending parts of subs and even whole subs back and forth). You can imagine my dismay when I unwrap this brand new sub, turn it on, and it won't make a peep. Not even for the "room" optimizer, which I tried before I hooked it up to my system. It will blink slowly and continuously for two minutes like it's running the test, but the driver won't engage. Then I tried hooking it up to my system, and it didn't work either. At this point I have a lot of experience using MicroPROs, and this particular problem is completely new to me; the electronics appear to be working perfectly (judging by the little blinking lights and what not), but the driver simply won't engage.
Does anyone know anything about this problem?

Hello Milsivich,
As it goes without saying, I'm certainly sorry to read of your sub difficulties. The problem could be caused by something as simple as a connecting wire that's fallen off one of the woofer's terminals during shipping. It might be best to give Polk's CS a call and they can walk you through checking out the connections between the amp and woofer. I'd give you their phone number, but it sounds as though you already have it.
A little more perseverance and patience will solve the problem, I'm sure.
Regards, Ken -
I cracked her open and found the loose wire. Luckily I could get to it by opening the bottom and the back; I didn't have to take out the driver.

Good, I'm glad you were able to figure out the cause.
