Best Center for my RTiA9 setup
Hi,
I have 2 RTiA9 for my front powered with an Emotiva XPA-2.
I also have an Emotiva XPA-3 wired to my 2 surround ( Polk Audio Monitor 70) and I have one space left for my new center.
Right now, I'm not sure that the best center from Polk is strong enough for my system.
I am wrong ?

I think you'll be fine with a CSi a6.

+1, I had the 5, great center. Just make sure you have the room for it, and if your still not satisfied, you can always have it modded. -
CSi-A6 for sure....Right now, I'm not sure that the best center from Polk is strong enough for my system.

I have no idea what you mean. Speakers don't have power. Speakers accept power. You're more likely to damage a speaker by under-powering it than by over-powering it.2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

CSi-A6 will be the to go, but like cody said it is pretty big so make space for it, but it sounds fantastic with the A9'sHome Theater

Tks to all.
I will go with the A6.
Now my other question, from the picture I join, is it preferable to put my center at the top or at the bottom of my wall. My old one was in the air, 9' from the ground. Not sure if it's best way.
Again, tks all !!!

Cr136124,
Why both the rtia'9 and the 7's?
I also wondered why because of their location. I also have RTi A9's as fronts and RTi A7's as rears but not both up front.Fronts: Polk RTi A9
Center: Polk CSI A6

preferable is in the ear of the beholder. Try both and see what you like better.2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

Cr136124,
Why both the rtia'9 and the 7's?
Lol......so you noticed that! Well, I put them like that, because it looks really cool............kidding!
I originally purchased the RTiA7s as front speakers. But, I always wanted the A9s. So, long story short, I finally purchased the A9s and put on sale my A7s.
The reason both speakers where placed at the front stage together was in order to demo them to a "first" potential buyer. Well, the guy tested them with his own reference material and he purchased them on the spot....;o)
Cheers! -
I also wondered why because of their location. I also have RTi A9's as fronts and RTi A7's as rears but not both up front.
See my comment above. It was done so a local buyer can demo them at my place.
Sorry for any confusion created, you guys were supposed to be checking only how big the center channel is compared to the U2 cd case.............LOL.
Do you guys work at CSI? -
Tks to all.

With a screen that size I'd buy TWO A6s and put one above and one below (but aimed up). You're going to need some real power and drivers to fill out that center channel in a room like that!!

IMHO, with good amplification the A6 just keeps up with what the A9's can put out.
I would not dream of anything smaller.
I like CNH's idea of two A6 center channels...A bit off topic, but any examples of an above/below setup like that? And listening time in such a room?Up

I heard this set up in at Fry's Electronics in Burbank, California. They have an awesome theater room, comparable in size to a smaller movie theater. They had the csia6 below the screen and it sounded great.
