RTi12 Crossover Repair

So long story short, there is no audio coming from the tweeter. I swapped in a tweeter from the other channel and no go (which in my haste, ended up ruining a tweeter ). So I am waiting a call back from Polk for pricing on a tweeter and crossover, but was wondering if anyone knew which components are associated with the tweeter?
I pulled the crossover (not completely out, just unscrewed it to take a look) and everything seemed fine. No bad smells no blown caps. I am fairly confident that I could fix it given some guidance. If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful.
Thanks in advance!

Sorry to hear about your tweeter woes. Did you get your call back yet from customer service?

I would trace the circuit and see which resistors are associated with the tweeter. I would then simply replace with them with a higher wattage 10 watt resistor.
The downside would be if your speakers are under warranty this would void it.
Good luck!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Thanks for the advice, but I just bit the bullet and bought a new crossover. Also found some RTI4 tweeters to mod and replace the busted tweeter. Times are tough so I had to try and find some creative ways to get where I need to be.Living Room:

I am also looking for RTi12 crossover. Did you buy it straight from Polk or somewhere else?

The RTi 12 cross-over is not like, say an SDA type. There are no modular connectors on it. The wires for the drivers are all hard soldered onto the board. Now let me state, this is what Polk CS told me, when i thought i had a cross-over problem. To replace the cross-over, you have to pull ALL the drivers, disconnect all the wires. Then you can pull the cross-over out. Then of course you have to feed all the wires from the new cross-over back to the right places. They should all be labeled.
This is what i was told. I can not confirm this as i did not pull the cross-over.
Yes you can buy the cross-over from Polk for the 12's.
Why it is setup like that, don't have a clue. To be blunt, your tweeter problem could have just been a bad solder joint. But thats a guess.
