My Girl, damn her.

she was cleaning and moved the sub to a different wall.

So the LFE was unplugged from the back of it and when she plugged it back in...catch this I know she doesnt know much about this stuff and plugged it into one of the UNFILTERED plugins on the back of the Subwoofer P505.

The receiver was off but the subs power wasn't. It made a loud ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR/Hum deep base sound (scared her right outa her shoes and she unplugged it immediatly then came running to me about what happened.)

As I wasn't in the room I don't know what happened, I just have to take her word on it.

Everything seems to be working fine though, Just figured i'd see if she could of buggered up my new HT system. But If theirs a chance anything could be wrong with anything from this I hope it's on the receivers side, as to it was only $150 on sale as an open box.

But, for all I know something could be damaged... Can that cause serious damage? I mean the Receiver was turned off so it shouldnt of put out power right?

This is my first HT system, so I honestly would have no idea what to look for if it was messed up, I know I e-mailed polk and never got an answer yet :P

It's not the worry factor, I'd just like to know basically out of pure amusement of WHAT SHE COULD of caused to happen. So I can lecture her for fun like she does me over silly stuff. Just honestly wanted to know WHAT damage it Can/Could cause.

She could have damaged the amp in the sub, that's it.

My friend the door of the opportunity is wide open for you............you can tell her the sub is damaged, there is no way to fix it and that now you are "forced" to buy a SVS PB13-Ultra.

And all that is her fault............

    LOL
