Anyone see the demo of the levels? This game is once again TOP of my list of purchases. I might even take a day or two off when it comes out to play it all the way through like I used to back in college :biggrin:.

Anyone else looking forward to this game and seeing if Microsoft can actually pull off a decent game without Bungie involvement? I know I am!

P.S. if your wondering on a scale of 1-10 how big a Halo fan I am.... this should tell you. The inscription on my wedding ring reads: "I am your shield, I am your sword" :biggrin:

Already preordered the collectors edition!!!

I have literally played Halo for over 10 years without a single loss of interest...

Currently have Halo 1, Halo 1 Anniversary (which is a great update), Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST, Reach, AND NOW HALO 4!!!!!!!!!

Even have the cartoon blu ray that came out a while back...

Have not wanted to play Halo Wars though it looks ghetto.

I haven't read anything about 4 player coop campaign. Only a different variation of it.
If you play coop, then consider me game!

Don't need limited as i'm not spartan 117's #1 fan but i'm a close 4,571,345,257th.

That's it Trey I have Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo 3 legenday edition (with the helmet), ODST, Halo Wars Collectirs edition, Halo Reach Legendary edition (with the statue).

Then I have the Halo 2 Limited Edition Xbox with 2 Halo 2 headsets. Next it's the Halo 3 Xbox 360 with 1 Halo 3 wireless headset and a couple other halo controllers. The Halo Legends blu-ray, all the Halo books with the exception of all the comics. I also have all the printed game guides and a bunch of other halo books. Also have the Legendary Beer Stein too :biggrin:

I probably forgot something too lol.

Didn't know the preorder was out for Halo 4. Time to get my copy

I play every Sunday and wouldn't mind playing with some Polkies. PM me for my gamer tag but beware I am a "Hero" hehe

Yes reach, I just never got into the whole flying packs n stuff. I used to like the old school warhog rides with a friend on the gunner owning people in a TD

I wasn't into it at first but MAANNN is it fun now! I need a new controller though. The springs are shot on my current 4 lol. Makes it really hard to snipe and just fire in general

When it comes to coop, i shoot first and ask questions later. If i'm not sprinting at 104mph and dying every 8 seconds, then i'm not Halo-ing. Be warned :twisted:

I am so ordering the Legendary edition this week. Its actually the MOST affordable Legendary one so far but thats cause it doesnt have anything super cool accessory wise.

I really do like the Pulse Armour Skin for realz!

Resurrecting this thread from the dead.

Was told last night that since my Halo 3 Xbox 360 just RROD'd on me that I can get the Halo 4 Xbox 360 when it comes out in November...

Super Pumped.

Even though it comes with the game, I still have to get the legendary edition of it since I dont think the Halo 4 box comes with that version


One cool difference between it and the standard Xbox 360 are instead of the green ring of light found on the conventional models, it will have a blue one to match the skin, as will the dedicated wireless controllers. Also the startup and eject buttons will play Halo 4 sounds rather than the standard ones :biggrin:. I dont ever wanna grow up....

LOL I have the cartoon also. I have Halo Wars and its actually really good, reminds me of old school Warcraft, however they never kept up with the updates or new features so its longevity was very short. If they made a Halo Wars 2 I would jump all over it.

I love Halo also and only played on the original Xbox. I am itching to get a 360. But RROD stories like yours is why I never bought one.

HAHA....just get one! The Jasper (i think) processor was supposed to take care of this a couple years ago. I haven't had to get a new unit in maybe 2 years. *knock on wood*.

I work in Southbridge, live in Northbridge. Can I ask where you're located? I may take you up someday. Currently work is killing my evenings, but I did get some Portal 2 in last night.

I may get one someday. But besides time I'm struggling with a few issues:
1) As I get older I play less and less serious games (iPod touch and 3DS dominate). My PC gaming is also down.
2) Isn't the next Xbox coming out next year?
3) I am trying to limit the amount of violent games and movies in my household since I have young children.

Perhaps I will change my mind when this game comes out. Is Jasper in all the slim models?

Yeah it's "supposedly" coming out next year but probably around the holidays like years past so you're looking at roughly 1.5 years away. And, with some big titles coming out, you're going to miss the boat :razz:

I do indeed love it. I play a couple hours every Sunday while my wife is at work. Mostly Team Snipers. Used to play lots of SWAT but I need a new controller as I wore mine out so I cant play that anymore since the response is to slow for me at my level of play (Legend).

No Karma on the game lol, going to sell it to re-coup the cost of the legendary one...

Maybe I will Karma the special armour upgrade though :biggrin:....or maybe not.... lol

Max, not an issue. My 360 was a Halo 3 edition meaning it was purchased sometime in late 2007. It was one of those units prone to RROD. I never had any problems with it till now. So I got 5 years out of my box. I also have another earlier model (pre Jasper) that has been running strong for about a year and a half. Both machines have been treated good but TONS of usage and no issues.

Heck I have gone through like 10 controllers, those break more often than the console lol.

And the new versions feature a better GPU/CPU combination and cooling system which has basically stopped the problems from occuring. You normally see RROD on only the bigger earlier models (pre like 2010).

I'm getting the $225 option, where I get my screenname, an emblem next to my name as being an original backer and my named engraved into both controllers. pretty cool.

I'm still on the fence about this. I was part of the beta for OnLive (never bought the setup, only used through the PC) and that seems to have fallen flat? Is this new console going to tank in a year as well?

Sorry to resurrect an older thread, but wanted to share. Just picked up a new Xbox 360 from the MS store during a black Friday sale. For $199, I got the 250GB version with Forza 4 and Halo Combat Evolved. Hasn't come yet but can't wait to play. I also picked up used discs from Ebay for Halo 3 and ODST for about $10 each. Sounds like these may be really short for campaign mode. I still have to find Reach, and will eventually buy Halo 4 assuming they are worth it for single player mode. I'm not much into playing online at this point.

Of these, which has good single player gameplay?

Halo 3.was.a.good game for single but reach was 5x better imho.
