Three cheap subs rockin' the house

I had an old Yamaha sub sitting in the basement collecting dust. Yesterday I decided to hook it up to my HT system. I positioned it in the front next to the television. I have two other cheap Acoustic Research subs in the rear on each side of the sitting position. I powered on all three of them with the extreme DVD version of T2 and the whole room was shaking. I could feel the vibrations from the subs going up my spine.

But to get three subs hooked up to a single subwoofer out on my receiver, it requires the use of two y-adapters. I would prefer to minimize the number of auxillary connections. Does anyone know where I can find a Y-adapter with one male/three female ends?

Also, the subs are hooked up via RadioShack gold series subwoofer cables. Is there any value in upgrading my cables? If so, what brand is good?
