Yeppers. Good Show. I was impressed. Did a version of Eruption bettter than Eddie IMO. Nice touch was after the show, he got off the stage and hung out with the fan for 20min. Thats after a 3hr show.

We have a cool little amphitheater here by the lake. Seats ~800, cap a little over 1,000. First time there a couple nights ago.

Lindsey Buckingham solo, front row seats 12' from mic, free beer, outdoors 70deg with the cicadas, crickets and frogs. Doesn't get much better than that. Unbelievable show.

Drive-By Truckers, OCMS, Dark Star (Dead), Moe, and some other decent events this season.

This year I have been to a few disappointing shows (Karl Denson, The Black Keys) but last night my my faith was restored in live music.

I'm surprised you were disappointed by The Black Keys, I've been to maybe a half dozen of their shows and never been let down. Granted, the first time I saw them was that intimate setting everyone is lauding, at a hole-in-the-wall Minneapolis bar. They've blown up a bit since then, but I thought they absolutely rocked it in Indianapolis in February when I went to see them, though the arena-rock feel is a drastic change from where they started.

Going to the Jackson Browne Acoustic concert this Thursday. The place has great acoustics and I'm hoping it's as good as the acoustic show Dan Fogelberg put on there several years ago...felt like he was in your living room and talked openly with the audience. I kinda hope he shaved off that beard though!
Yep, my name really is Bob.

    Saw 'The Pines' last night.

Its a band I found a couple years ago and has quickly become one of my favorites. Very chilled out.

It was the most unique venue I have ever been in. It's called the Sh$tty Barn Concert Series. Its a barn in Spring Green, WI with a max capacity of 80! You take your own lawn chair and set it up where you want. No stage or anything.

We got there early and set up to the side of the band. I was so close that after the first set one of the guitarists looked over at me and we shook hands. We were both sitting down! So I was 4 feet away.

I got an lp, poster and set-list all signed by the band. Very cool guys.

    A few things of interest....
.....Another one of these fests are planned for October http://www.linganorewines.com/eventspage_october.html#october2007
I highly recommend if you are in the area.

Thanks for the info, never been there for a show before. The winery in Shrewsbury called Naylor is a fun place to see shows as well.

Saw a great show at Oregon Ridge this past Saturday. I came a bit late, walked into Justin Townes Earle's set. Enjoyed what I heard, a bluesy, raw singer songwriter. Eerie how much he sounds like his father Steve when he talks. Next was Trombone Shorty (had a band, forget the name) they were really fun, funky N'orleans rock. Finished up Gov't Mule, who were right on as always.

I saw Roger Waters in Charlotte in July, and I caught Judas Priest in Biloxi at the Hard Rock last fall. Both good shows with Priest being better (no Gilmore, nose bleed seats). Judas Priest venue was small and they rocked. Last US show by them too.

Last night saw Shemekia Copeland open up for The Robert Cray Band.
I have seen Shemekia Copeland before and she can belt out a tune. Her band was very good too.

Robert Cray was amazing. Some incredibly smooth, silky and jamming blues guitar! One of the best.

Rams Head live in Baltimore. Not many people. Lots of room. Great show!

went to see Zappa Plays Zappa last night. Real fine show. Watching Dweezil and the band play gave me a new appreciation for the musicianship of Frank and his whole band. Dweezil's band was also top-notch. Never saw Frank, could've seen him in '85, but was "too busy." Been kicking myself ever since.

Just picked up 5th row tickets to see Buddy Guy and George Thorogood in Baltimore (http://www.piersixpavilion.com/) this coming August. Buddy's been on my blues bucket list for a while. Should be a good combo with Thorogood.

Recently, we've been able to see a few other concerts:

Was unable to make this one. I saw Cray in Spokane several years ago...he puts on a great show. The Rams Head is an awesome venue to see an act up close and personal. The artists seem so much more comfortable in such a small place and really banter w/the audience.

Phish at Madison Square Garden 12/30/12!

There is no band that puts on a better show that is touring now, imo. I have seen Phish a number of times and have been to over (guesstimate) 300 concerts in my life. They may not be your cup of tea but holy crap can they jam! Truly an incredible experience.
