I've also got a 2252B and love it. It's paired with a set of open baffle towers and the sound is not comparable to anything else I've heard. I'm a Marantz fan from way back and always swayed by the blue glow...

    Congrats on your addition!

Any Marantz 2245 and above and some classic Polk Monitors (7 or 10) and call it a day. Because you've got one sweet system there!

i took the plunge...i hooked it marantz up to the rta15's...doesnt sound to bad. better than the rti8's.....at this point i am using my sda2b hooked to a denon poa amp and using a denon avr reciever as a pre-amp tuner (i guess thats how i call it) as i am saving for a tube set up....i listen to music 99.9 percent of time...but if i want to watch a wicked good movie i got the avr for sound surround....works for now....with the rti-8's as rears. with a sub....

    Greetings Randy!

Thanks for the kind words! The model of the cassette player is a 5025B. It's a three head recorder player. Mine was refurbished when I bought it. It was very reasonably priced. The sound quality is very good. Cassettes are a very good value for music. Most cassettes can be had for less than $1. I bought over 100 high quality classical music casettes for $5.

    Thanks guys for you remarks!

The pictures aren't the greatest but the sound is pure Marantz. I have the Marantz gear connected to a pair of Polk original Model 7s that have the Peerless tweeters. It sounds very nice.

    Regards,
    Carl

thanx carl. as you can see the rack is temporary. it barely fit. but thats how i got it. the top is a zenith T350 tube radio..i cleaned it up. light stained it it works and still needs tlc. but it gives me something to tinker with on rainy days.
