So my new outdoor gear arrived safely from Crutchfields today. The first box I opened was the Marantz PM6004 which is replacing the NAD 355 that crapped out on me. No surprises there. The next box I opened was an impulse buy. I ordered the Klipsch AW-650 outdoor speakers. These things are huge:surprised: I'm not sure I can mount them where my current Polk Atrium 55s are mounted.

Anyone heard these before? I am thinking maybe the smaller AW-525 model would have been a better fit. Lesson learned; don't drink and surf the net.

NP...I only went for these because they retail for $549 and were on sale for $399 and they had an open box pair for $349. They had the smaller Aw-525 model but they were going for full retail at $449. I'm not sure I can live with the size and may have to pay more for the smaller model

All 3 of these look great and I will bet a good dollar they sound great too. That Marantz is fantastic and I personally really like Klipsch.

Sounds like my old lady, buying something she really doesn't want/need just because it was on sale. Hence the reason we have seperate bank accounts.
If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

I have heard them and they sound quite good. Quite responsive and sound even bigger than they are. They throw out sound for a very long distance. Which is good in my case but may not be good for you.

I was in a church today that happened to be using some of those AW-650's for floor monitors. They are big.
