I have a pair of SDA-2A's and a pair of Lsi25's. They are a whole lot different from one another, but wonderful in their own ways. I use the Lsi's for home theater and the SDA's (of course) for music. The SDA's and I go back to '94 or '95. My brother was original owner before that. He was going to sell them at a garage sale at the time till I intercepted that whole thing. Glad I did!

Temecula. Been here for only a short time. Business got me out here, but would like to get back to AZ someday.

Have you swapped to the RDO-194's? I thought my 2A's sounded great with the stock tweeters but was convinced that I should swap anyway. Huge difference for not much money.

If you decide to rebuild the crossovers I saved the thread with the parts list. You will notice in the first post that the person I bought them from gave me the wrong model number.

No, I have not changed out the tweeters. I have always liked the sound of the SL2000 tweets but if there is that much of a difference, I may give it a try. I have considered having the crossovers rebuilt but was not sure where to go for that. Thanks for the info! I am going to look into it.

I put the RDO 194 tweets in my SDA 2A's a couple years ago and never looked back. My current SDA 1C's have them as well. You should definitely give them a try.

    Welcome to the Club.

Is there a reputable place that I can send my SDA-2A crossovers to do the mods as described in the link?

Check out VR3 in the mod thread if you want to have the xo done. He did my RTA's and I love it. Easy to work with and fair with his pricing.

Yep, he did my crossovers too, a real work of art and they sound incredible. He loves doing it and it shows in his work.

Definitely get the rdo's. You get a discount if you call polk and tell them you are a forum member. They still refer to them as sl2000 tweeters but they really are rdo194's which is what you want They are simple to put in, essentially plug and play.

I am already working on it! Disconnected the SDA's to "do the surgury" so I can send the crossovers out to VR3. I will keep you all posted on the results. I will have a tough time waiting to get them back (these Polks are like other children of mine). Thanks again!
