:cheesygrin:Heads up for all of us SDA-2 fans out there. A pretty nice pair was listed today on ebay. They are supposed to be one owner with the interconnect cable. Starting price is a low $99 and a $140 buy-it-now. Not a bad deal at all. Geez, the parts are worth more than that!

This thread should be deleated, IMO.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Wow, a guy that loves Polk stuff originally from Tucson and now in SoCal getting a hard time for his username? I am always interested in deals that pop up in the southwest. Thought that it would be nice to alert others to a good deal. It makes one take a second look at joining this forum.

It is a good deal. I wish I was nearby.

The reason you are catching flak is because a lot of new members pop in here to push what they have for sale never to be heard from again. It remains to be seen if you are one of them. If that type of behavior went unchallenged the forum would be flooded with useless posts that contribute nothing. My advice would be to contribute to this forum in a meaningful way before pushing items for sale.

FYI, there is a thread already dedicated to items like this...
    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?50838-Looking-for-Misc-Audio-Deals-of-the-Day-Updated-info-here!/page120

Of course it helps to know that beforehand, but in case you're legit in wanting to be here, welcome to Club Polk!

Note to self: there is also a thread in the WTB section for SDAs... I gotta look around more :/
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

    Did I miss something?

I did not see a link to the ad. So if he was trying to sell a pair of his own speakers he's not being very pushy about it.

There was a link to eBay. It has magically disappeared.

There was never a link to that persons ebay ad. I don't feel the need to promote someone elses equipment THAT badly. Again, just trying to share some vintage Polk info to those that REALLY care. To those of you that are sceptical, if these were my speakers, why wouldn't I place them in the classifieds section?

You did. They were in looking for SDA's, that was your second post. Seemed a little fishy to me. But hey, thats me.

Looking back I realize you are correct. I apologize for my mistake. I should have given it more thought before I posted what I did. I knew I had seen the speakers and thought I had followed a link you posted but I was wrong.

I'm not skeptical and don't know what your motives for posting were. I like the speakers and would buy them if they were close to me. I was not trying to give you a hard time. I was stating the reasons you were getting a hard time over your post.

    BTW, welcome to Club Polk!

Even if the ad is not his, it still should not be posted in this section on the forum. That was my reasoning for the thread needing to be deleated.

Well, checked on the status of those SDA's on ebay that some thought that were mine. Looks like they are no longer available or sold. I should have made the 7 hour drive just to buy them cheap for parts. The speakers may be gone, but Polk forums is stuck with me. Very happy to be here. Just being straight up with you all!

Tell us about the speakers you own. We always like to hear details and look at photos.

    Arizonaguy,

welcome to club Polk. You just had a perchance of appearing just like many folks joining just to sell stuff assuming that Polk members would buy their Polk stuff like crack to crack whores. If you go back on this thread a page or two you will see that another person came in doing the exact same thing.

This is a great forum, and you are more than welcome here but we enjoy stories, and sharing of your interests. If you like an amp, folks will want a picture with the cover off. If you upgrade something, we like to hear how it sounds, and your ideas about it. It's an interactive forum, just not a sales podium. I've never participated in any forum until now. I've joined a few for specific information but there was nothing to keep me going back, but here there is something new everyday that I can use.

You may have missed out on that SDA deal, but keep an eye out locally as they come up which is the purpose of this thread.

It was just asked but I'm curious, what do you have and what do you feed them with, and what would you like to see next in your inventory of audio?
