    i can try that. the original manuel says to put the sda's near the wall. but i will try that and see. i apoligize. i lost internet access to polk site for 2 days. i called them. problems to some people i guess.....anyways i will try pulling them out. i will pm you....thank you for feedback. i may like them more too....good eyes also. your right. they are next to wall as close as possible without hurting inter connect cord

    General rules of thumb for SDA placement:

    1. They must be in the same plane about 6" or more from the same back wall but less than a foot.
    2. NOTHING must break the plane in front of them. In other words they are the furthest most thing out from their common wall.
    3. They must be a minimum of 4' apart or roughtly form a triangle with the sweet spot.
    4. They MUST be at LEAST 3' from the side walls.

    Those are your minimal requirements. Once you have them in that position you can experiment some more. You need to find your sweetspot because it is often a bit specific because of the effect.

    thanks all. i did pull them out just now. i notice a slight difference. i actually wanted to leave a 8in gap. but i had a 4 inch gap because manuel. but as i said,and prefer it away from wall 8in i will keep them there. it does sound slightly better. wife is the best judge on that. she does my ear work. she does a wonderful job.....information i get here i discuss with her and she agrees....its like team work.......thanx all
