Denon 3802 - Right front channel not working

I decided to give to a friend of mine a Denon 3802 AVR and a pair of Polk RT 2000i speakers I am not using. We set this gear up tonight at his house. Unfortunately, only the left front channel works. The right front channel does not work. We switched speaker cables and the other speaker works fine in the left front channel. So, it's not a speaker or wiring issue.
Anyone familiar with this AVR? I pulled the manual from Denon's web site to try to figure out how to troubleshoot this problem. The only thing I can find in the manual is to try to re-initialize the microprocessor. I haven't tried this yet. However, it says to power down, unplug the unit, hold the Auto and PCM buttons and then plug the unit back in. I have no idea if this will have any impact on the issue at hand, but will try it when I return to his house tomorrow.
This unit is in mint (or so I thought) condition and was working perfectly when I boxed it up about four years ago. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am stumped as to why the right front channel has died while the AVR was not in use and safely stored it's original packaging and box. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I apologize for posting this question in the wrong area of the forum. At any rate, I re-initialized the microprocessor this morning as articulated in the manual and all channels now work as designed. Problem solved.
