Bass Shaker amplification

Just a quick FYI about Bass Shakers. Don't be fooled into thinking you need a 50 or 100 watt amp for them.

I just hooked up a spare 2x15W Pyle Pro PCA1 to my shakers and it is more than adequate to power them. Volume is only up half way and it mixes perfectly with my powered sub. Coming in at only $25 there's no need to spend much more for adequate power.

What frequency are you sending to the shakers? I am thinking about getting some but was thumbing about sending only 15hz to around 35hz that way they only go off on the really low stuff.
    Absolute corruption empowers absolutely.

I'm crossing over at 60Hz and it seems to be perfect. I haven't really played around with the lpf because they're integrated pretty well now and I'm happy with it.

What kinda' shakers? 'Cause I'm sure that kinda' wattage is fine for something like the Auras, but I wouldn't think so for something like a Buttkicker.
    Equipment list:
    Onkyo TX-NR3010 9.2 AVR
    Emotiva XPA-3 amp
Polk RTi70 mains, CSi40 center, RTi38 surrounds, RTi28 rears and heights
SVS 20-39CS+ subwoofer powered by Crown XLS1500
    Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray player
    DarbeeVision DVP5000 video processor
    Epson 8500UB 1080p projector

You are correct, Aura Pros. I don't have experience with buttkickers. Why do you think it wouldn't work for the buttkickers?

Oh, I'm sure it would work to an extent... but Aura Pros are small... whereas a Buttkicker LFE is a 3" steel piston in an enclosure.

Buttkicker sells a 1200W amp that can drive up to 4. I have been looking at this to put into my new two step risers because I'll have 9 seats. :) I don't think that you could get away with 15W.
