J&R is getting $299 (shipped) for them. I am looking into one myself.

Grrr a guy can't win can he lol.

Well if your interested make me an offer of you want. Tank is sending me the antenna and dock which doesn't come with a new hk3490 and I am not sure how much it costs as an accessory.

Eh, not cool. I know your new around, however, please respect no posting prices in FS threads to other sights/sales. It's up to the buyer to decide if they want to buy the item for X price, not for others to advertise the best deal they have found. Buyer beware.

GLWTS ES, I'd love to see you move some of this stuff.

@EndersShadow.. i check the price on that H/K #3 dock its going for $98.00 on Amazon, so anyone looking for a great deal EndersShadow's deal with that IPhone docking station is a really great deal! And also comes with all the hookups for newer and older IPhones too.For a two channel with two sub outs and Pre-Amp outs now with the #IPhone Dock he will let go with that unit is a Killer deal! and i do have this unit in a 2.1 set-up with my HT set-up and the reason it is still there is because too me it sounds much better than the H/K3600, too me anyways even without my monoblock amps it still has a more robust sound then the H/K3600.The main reason i will upgrade the H/K3600 is because it doesn't even come close too how the H/K3490 sounds in two channel or even in a 2.1 set up.I did an A/B between the two,Hands down H/K3490 wins out for music.

Eh, new or not to this forum, I have seen many posts on this forum that discuss prices, discounts and/or retailers on select pieces of equipment for the fine folks here that enjoy getting a deal. No line crossed here.

So you can do that thing called "Reading" too then huh? It's rude of you to come into here and think your hot stuff boasting this and that without as much as reading any rules or stickies about the policies and how "things work" around here.

EndersShadow, what are you moving onto for power for your system? How did you like the HK3490's performance?

I am moving my Integra DTR-5.9 into that system once I get the new Onkyo 709 and eventually add a 2 channel amp and start upgrading.

This system will eventually get my laserdisc, Xbox and other vintage gear and function as a two channel system only.

The *only* reason I don't sell the Integra and keep the 3490 is that the Integra has HDMI (and pre-outs) and can be my backup if the new Onkyo has issues.

I have its bigger brother, the Onkyo 1009 and I love it. I think you will be incredibly happy with the 709. I haven't really run into any issues with mine, it just seems to do what it should. If only all products could do that!

This now includes the antenna that came stock with it as well as a Bridge III iPhone dock. I dont think the dock is compatible with the 3490 by default and not sure if an adaptor exists to make it work, but the Bridge III sells online for about 100 so you should be able to sell it for at least 50.

Really want to move this along. If I have to take a hit on it, would rather it be from a Polkie.

I found that the box has the ORIGINAL FOAM, and isn't as bad as I thought. Here are some pictures of the item packaged up (will have one more layer of cardboard around this box:

As mentioned the Harman Kardon Bridge III is NOT compatible with this system by default but might be with an adapter if they make one. It does work with the Bridge II (with an adapter) and the Bridge (no adapter needed)
