Kinda contrary to my experience. I ran the whole LSi15/LSiC/LSiFX set before upgrading to full LSiM, and let me tell ya the difference's been night and day, quite an upgrade! LSiM HT performance is quite airy, extremely detailed, and the sound stage is just too grand to compare to the previous model. I truly feel like I'm in a theater, of course, minus the cell phone ringing and teenager chatting

By the way the June edition of Home Theater magazine has just come out with Thomas Norton's in-depth review of Polk LSiM707-LSiM706c-LSiM702F/X surround speaker system; he gave the set a 4.5/5 for performance - 5/5 for build quality - 5/5 for value. Pretty impressive, don't you think
Here's a quote: "The LSiMs took a little more tweaking than many other speakers have to deliver their best in my room, but it was worth it. They're capable of handling virtually any program material with ease, from the most delicate details to the most challenging soundtracks, played back at levels that could get you banned from the homeowners association."

I am still waiting to hook up my LSiM 707, 703, 706C paired with NAD25 and Marantz AV7005. I will only be able to offer an elementary review, but I will certainly give my opinion once the system is up and running.

In regards to Jim Nortons review on quality....I will say from a build quality and first impression on looks out of the box they were just jaw dropping. Solid, Quality, Substantial...just flat out quality high end build.

I have seen and listened the 703's, 705's and the 707's in action with top of the line audio musical source and IMHO, 705's are the top of the bunch

+1..... the 705's were my favorite also. They were more balanced than the 707's IMO. Second was the 703's followed by the 707's. All are great though.

Ok let me start out by saying I cant begin to say how much better these new LSIM speakers sound compared to my Rti a9 that I had. The level of detail I can hear in my music is on a whole new level. Thanks to everyone who helped me make my mind up on buying the LSIM 703's. I didnt think a bookshelf would do it for me but I was wrong.

I like the LSIm & Halo combo. I'd love to hear them on tubes though.

Bold statement to make considering your comparing a tower to a bookshelf...

On the other hand, I've been pondering modding my A9's or going LSiM 705/7.

What size is your room again? Mine is on the smaller side (16x13) and I thought the 703's did a great job filling the room, no sub was even needed.
